The vault
Your passwords, kept with care.
No more passwords written in a notebook, a spreadsheet or a text message. Your company's logins stay in a vault, and the robot only uses them when it goes to work.
-
Kept in a vaultYour company's passwords and other logins stay protected in your account's vault. Once saved, a password is no longer shown on screen.
-
Used only when a task runsThe robot uses a password only to do the task you set up, and for nothing else.
-
Change them whenever you wantChanged a password in the system? Type the new one in your dashboard and you are done: the robot starts using it.
-
Everything is recordedEvery task is recorded with its result. In your dashboard, you can see how much the robot has done and download the spreadsheets with the results.
When something goes wrong
If it goes wrong, it tries again.
Sometimes the website on the other end is down or slow to respond. When the problem is temporary, the robot tries again on its own, up to 3 times, at intervals of 30 minutes, 1 hour and an hour and a half. If it still doesn't work, the task ends in an error and does not count against your plan.
Third-party sites and systems can change without notice, and the automation may then need adjusting.
LGPD
Your data, in plain language.
The LGPD (Brazil's General Data Protection Law) sets out how companies may use personal data. In short, this is how it works at BotHub:
- We use your account data to provide the service: dashboard access, the robot's work, billing and support.
- The data the robot uses on the job, like a customer's name on an order, is used only to do the task.
- Your company decides what is done with that data. BotHub carries out the task on your behalf.
- We do not sell personal data.
What stays with you
The robot does the task. The decisions stay yours.
The robot follows the routine the way it was set up, with the data you provide. The decisions and obligations of each task remain with your company.
Tips for peace of mind
- Keep in the vault only the logins the task uses.
- If the system allows it, create a user just for the robot, with access only to what it needs.
- Before you automate a website, check whether its terms of use allow access by robots. That check is up to you, including for catalog automations.
- Changed a password in the system? Change it in the vault too.
- In the first few weeks, check in your dashboard what the robot has done.
FAQ
Security questions.
Where does my password go after I save it?
It goes into your account's vault, where it stays protected. It is not shown on screen again, not even to you. If you need to change it, just type the new one.
Can the robot use my logins for something else?
No. It uses the login only to do the task you set up.
How do I delete my data?
To remove a login from the vault, or to delete your account and data, write to [email protected].
What if the site the robot uses changes?
Third-party sites and systems can change without notice, and the automation may then need adjusting. If the problem is temporary, like the site being down, the robot tries again on its own, up to 3 times. If it still does not work, the task ends in an error and does not count against your plan.
Who is responsible for what the robot does on behalf of your company?
The robot follows the setup and the data you provide, and you can follow the results in your dashboard.
